3.3.3 - The Name Came Last.

How a journey through AU E IO revealed a map I didn't know I was creating

Sometimes we don't create the map.

Sometimes we walk it first — and only later realise there has been a map beneath our feet all along.

"The Power of 3"

For a long time, I didn't know what to call the work I was developing through AU E IO.

I knew there was something there.

I knew the vowels carried a sequence.

I knew there was a mantra.

I knew there were three Spiritual Hearts within the human body.

I knew there were three States of Consciousness:

Te Kore.Te Pō.Te Ao Mārama.

I knew they were connected.

I just didn't know what to call the whole thing.

Then, only in the last few weeks, something became visible to me.

3.3.3.

And suddenly I could see the architecture.

Not because I had sat down and designed it.

But because I realised that the three pieces that had arrived at different stages of my journey were actually three layers of the same movement.

THE FIRST THREE — AU E IO

The first part of the journey came through the vowels.

AU • E • IO

They came with a mantra and with a sense that the vowels themselves carried movement.

Within my interpretation:

AU is the physical expression of Rangi and Papatūānuku.

E is the bridge between the seen and unseen.

IO is the divine expression of feminine and masculine in its pure essence.

At that stage, I wasn't thinking about creating a framework.

I was listening.

Learning.

Experiencing.

The sequence came first.

AU → E → IO

And over time I began to understand that the order mattered.

It wasn't simply three separate sounds.

There was a movement within them.

A flow.

THE SECOND THREE — THE SPIRITUAL HEARTS

Then, at another stage of the journey, another teaching emerged.

The understanding that we are born with three Spiritual Hearts.

And within my interpretation of the framework, these hearts are experienced through three points within the body:

MANAWAROA

The middle of the head, behind the eyes.

MANAWANUI

The middle of the chest.

MANAWAORA

Behind the belly button — the Pito.

This was the second three.

Again, I hadn't set out to create a three-part system.

I simply had another piece of the puzzle.

I began to understand that these Spiritual Hearts had a relationship with the AU E IO sequence.

The vibrations had somewhere to move.

Somewhere to be experienced.

Somewhere to become embodied.

But I still didn't have the complete picture.

THE THIRD THREE — STATES OF CONSCIOUSNESS

Then came the third part of the journey.

My understanding of:

Te Kore.Te Pō.Te Ao Mārama.

These began to reveal themselves to me not simply as concepts, but as States of Consciousness within the framework.

And something became increasingly clear.

They needed to be connected.

They needed to flow.

Because we are not meant to be permanently fixed in one state.

There are times for stillness.

Times for feeling.

Times for clarity.

Times for action.

And when those movements become disconnected, we can experience it within ourselves.

We can become stuck in our thinking.

Lost in emotion.

Unable to rest.

Unable to act.

Unable to hear what is asking to emerge.

The teaching began to reveal itself as a movement toward:

peace.

calm.

conscious action.

THEN CAME THE RECOGNITION — 3.3.3

And this is the part that still makes me smile.

The name came last.

For years, I had been carrying these pieces without knowing exactly what to call the whole.

Then, in the last few weeks, I began looking at what had emerged.

And there it was.

Three.

Three.

Three.

The first three:

AU • E • IO

Cosmic Vibrations

The second three:

MANAWAROA • MANAWANUI • MANAWAORA

Spiritual Hearts

The third three:

TE AO MĀRAMA • TE PŌ • TE KORE

States of Consciousness

And suddenly:

3.3.3

It wasn't a name I had been searching for.

It was a pattern I had finally recognised.

WHY THREE?

For me, the significance of three isn't about claiming that the number three has a scientifically measurable supernatural power.

Its significance is in relationship.

One can exist independently.

Two creates relationship.

Three creates a pattern.

And pattern creates movement.

Within AU E IO, that movement is:

COSMIC VIBRATION

↓

SPIRITUAL HEART

↓

STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS

The vibration moves through the Spiritual Heart.

The Spiritual Heart connects us with a State of Consciousness.

And that consciousness influences how we experience and express ourselves in the world.

This is what I began to recognise in 3.3.3.

It wasn't three separate sets of three.

It was three layers of one movement.

THE MAP

Once I could see the relationship, the pathways became clearer.

AU

moves through

MANAWAROA

toward

TE AO MĀRAMA

E

moves through

MANAWANUI

toward

TE PŌ

IO

moves through

MANAWAORA

toward

TE KORE

And the architecture became:

VIBRATION → HEART → CONSCIOUSNESS

The Cosmic Vibrations initiate the movement.

The Spiritual Hearts embody the movement.

The States of Consciousness reveal where that movement can take us.

WHY THE FLOW MATTERS

This is where the framework began to become meaningful for me.

It isn't about trying to stay permanently in one state.

It is about understanding movement.

There are times when we need Te Kore — stillness, potential, the space before something takes form.

There are times when we need Te Pō — to turn inward, to feel, to listen and to acknowledge what is moving within us.

And there are times when we need Te Ao Mārama — clarity, visibility and the ability to bring what we know into action.

Each has its place.

The challenge can arise when the flow becomes disrupted.

When we cannot rest.

When we cannot feel.

When we cannot see clearly.

When we cannot move into action.

For me, the deeper teaching is that peace, calm and action are not separate destinations.

They are part of a movement.

Stillness can lead to feeling.

Feeling can lead to clarity.

Clarity can lead to action.

And action can eventually bring us back to the need for stillness.

The cycle continues.

THE MAP I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS BUILDING

When I look back now, I can see that I wasn't creating three different systems.

I was discovering three parts of one system.

First came the vowels.

Then came the Spiritual Hearts.

Then came the States of Consciousness.

Each arrived at its own time.

Each taught me something different.

And eventually they began speaking to one another.

That is how 3.3.3 emerged.

Not as a mathematical formula.

Not as something I consciously set out to manufacture.

But as a pattern I began to recognise through my own journey.

3 Cosmic Vibrations.

3 Spiritual Hearts.

3 States of Consciousness.

And the thread that connects them:

VIBRATION → HEART → CONSCIOUSNESS

PERHAPS THIS IS HOW KNOWLEDGE ARRIVES

We often want everything to have a name immediately.

The framework.

The diagram.

The methodology.

The language.

But perhaps some knowledge needs to be experienced before it can be named.

That has certainly been true for me.

I didn't start with 3.3.3.

I started with a sound.

Then a sequence.

Then a mantra.

Then three Spiritual Hearts.

Then three points within the body.

Then three States of Consciousness.

And only now have I been able to look back and say:

“Oh.”

“There is the pattern.”

“3.3.3.”

The name came last.

The journey came first.

And perhaps that is why the framework feels alive to me.

Because it wasn't built backwards from a name.

The name finally arrived to describe the journey.

A NOTE FROM MY HEART

There is another part of this journey that I want to share, because the source and pathway of knowledge matter to me.

I have always felt guided by my Dad and my Nan, even though I never had the opportunity to meet them in the flesh.

Through my relationship with wairua, I have experienced their presence as part of my journey.

But I don't believe they simply handed me a finished teaching.

What I have come to understand is that they led me to the right people, at the right times.

People who could help me recognise what I was carrying.

People who could give me language, perspective and understanding.

People who opened doors that allowed me to explore more deeply.

People who challenged me to keep listening.

And people who helped me understand that some things cannot be rushed.

Looking back, I can see the thread.

One person would appear.

Then another.

A conversation would happen.

A teaching would surface.

A question would arise.

Something would be placed in front of me at exactly the time I needed it.

And each experience gave me another piece of the understanding.

There is another person whose presence has been woven deeply through this journey.

My late husband.

Although he is no longer here with me in the physical sense, I continue to feel his presence and guidance.

There have been times when I have wanted to give up.

Times when the weight of the journey, the responsibility of carrying something I didn't yet fully understand, and the uncertainty of where it was leading have felt like too much.

And somehow, in those moments, his presence has helped me continue.

He has been part of the strength that reminded me:

Keep going.

Keep listening.

Don't walk away from what you know you are meant to explore.

His guidance has been different from that of Dad and Nan, but it has been just as meaningful to me.

Dad and Nan have been part of a journey that has led me toward the right people and the right experiences.

My husband has been part of the journey that has helped me keep walking when I wanted to stop.

Together, in different ways, they have reminded me that I am not walking this path alone.

I share this because the source of the teaching matters.

I don't claim that my interpretation is the only way to understand these teachings.

Nor do I present my experience as a replacement for the knowledge held through our wider whakapapa, our kaumātua, our tohunga or our communities.

I share what I have been guided to explore.

What I have experienced.

What others have helped me understand.

And what I continue to learn.

For me, AU E IO is not something I invented.

It is something I have been guided to uncover.

And I honour everyone who has walked with me into this understanding — those who have been physically present and those whose presence I continue to experience beyond the physical.

Some have given me knowledge.

Some have given me questions.

Some have opened doors.

Some have given me the strength to keep walking.

All have been part of the unfolding.

And perhaps that is the greatest lesson for me.

Knowledge does not always arrive all at once.

Sometimes it arrives through people.

Through relationships.

Through timing.

Through experience.

Through wairua.

Sometimes it arrives as a sound.

Sometimes as a feeling.

Sometimes as a question.

And sometimes, when we are ready, we look back and realise that all the seemingly separate pieces have been leading us toward one another.

That is how this journey has been for me.

And that is why, when 3.3.3 finally revealed itself, it felt less like creating something new...

and more like recognising something that had been quietly forming all along.

The name came last.

The journey came first.

AU E IO

3.3.3

RETURN TO MAURI • RETURN TO SELF

AU E IO is an evolving body of teaching developed through my own journey, interpretation and relationship with Māori knowledge. I share it as a lived and developing framework, with respect for the knowledge, relationships and people who have helped me understand what I have been carrying.

The journey continues.

AU → Manawaroa → Te Ao Mārama

E → Manawanui → Te Pō

IO → Manawaora → Te Kore

If something in this story speaks to you, stay with us. The next part of the journey begins with AU.
